Works under the Chief Lending Officer to monitor and perform data functions and loan system tasks as needed.
Acts as a contact with the client related to performing client relations on closed loans;
troubleshoots problems that may exist with the client’s loans and educates on loan statuses and financial transactions.

Monitors loan processes and activity to determine compliance with program policies and rules; reviews official statements for outstanding bond issues;
monitors certain loan agreement covenants and certifications; tracks troubled loans and credits; reviews and initiates loan draws;
makes requests to clients and agencies for updated financial information when needed;
prepares reports and distributes to municipal securities information repositories as required by law.
Participates in the ongoing process of monitoring and analyzing the current status of borrowers;
reviews program reports and financial documents to verify ongoing ability to pay and contract compliance.

Qualifications:

Graduation from college with a B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field,
and, 2+ years progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, business administration, or, related field, or,
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Accountant
New Mexico Finance Authority

The New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) is seeking applications for an Accountant that will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Performs a variety of entry level, technical and professional duties as needed in support of
the day-to-day financial, loan servicing, and accounting functions of NMFA.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Reviewing requisitions from borrowing entities to draw down project escrows;
serving as the point person for processing daily wire transactions in/out of wire account,
ensuring proper signatures and information are captured to execute wire transfer;
entering journal entries into general ledger system on a weekly basis;
and reviewing journal entries entered by other members of staff.

Education and Experience:

Degree in Accounting or related field, which can be substituted by Bachelor’s degree in any field
and 5 years of work experience in an accounting function or a CPA certificate.
Experience in loan servicing and bank accounting preferred.
Strong job references also preferred.
Must demonstrate familiarity with the accounting cycle.
Ability to work as part of a team and multi-task also a must.
